NMWA Banana Card

Our Banana card is part of our National Museum of Women in the Arts Collection inspired by Faith Ringgold's painting Jo Baker's Bananas. This painting depicts the famous American entertainer Josephine Baker. Baker’s figure is represented five times, implying a sense of movement across the stage performing her signature “Banana Dance.” My design was inspired by the playful dancing nature of the bananas as well as their two-toned graphics. I also added a hint of peach to my banana design in response to the colors in this piece. • Card comes with an additional insert showing the original artwork inspiration with a description about the piece and how it is reflected in our design • 4.25" x 5.5" folded greeting card • Available as a single card or set of 8 • Blank inside • A2 kraft envelope • 100lb uncoated stock • Printed with biodegradable inks and 100% certified wind power
